Penn Hills School District, Harrisburg University and NuPaths Host Open House to Showcase Technical Support Specialist Program

Penn Hills School District, in partnership with Harrisburg University and NuPaths, is excited to invite you to an upcoming Open House highlighting their new partnership program, NuPaths Technical Support Specialist program.

The Open House will take place from 8:00  to 9:15 AM on Thursday, October 9, at Penn Hills High School, located at 309 Collins Dr, Penn Hills Township, PA 15235. The event will begin with a networking opportunity followed by remarks from key program partners. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet students currently enrolled in this new initiative.

This pre-apprenticeship program is designed to prepare Penn Hills High School students for entry-level careers in IT as technical support specialists. It provides students an opportunity to earn up to six industry-recognized certifications while gaining both college credit and high school elective credit. By the end of the program, students will have developed in-demand technical skills and a strong foundation for future employment.

Attendees will learn how students are exploring IT career pathways, developing lifelong technology skills and earning certifications that position them for college and career success. This initiative not only empowers students to pursue tech careers immediately after high school but also strengthens the local workforce pipeline.

The program is made possible through funding from a PAsmart grant provided by the Apprenticeship and Training Office in the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.
