Penn Hills High School to Present Fall Play “Clue!”

Penn Hills High School is excited to present its upcoming fall play, "Clue!" It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’ve been invited to a very unusual dinner party. Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So whodunit? Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Based on the cult classic film and the popular board game, CLUE is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.

Penn Hills High School Presents: “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder

Join Penn Hills High School for a special performance on November 18 and 19 of what Edward Albee hailed as "the greatest American play ever written" – Thornton Wilder's "Our Town," a timeless three-act masterpiece.

"It's an eye-opening play that reminds you to live in the moment, don’t regret anything, don’t take anything for granted, and be thankful for everything that you have.” stated eleventh grader Mariyah Bey who portrays the lead character, Emily Webb.

The story unfolds in the fictional town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, during the years 1901 to 1913 and narrates the lives of the Gibbs and Webb families, through 12 years. As an audience member, you’ll follow the many stories between the young lovers Emily Webb and George Gibbs, their strong and loving parents, and many other town locals. Through their experiences, the play imparts significant lessons on what it means to be human.

The play moves from the mundane everyday events in Act I, “Daily Life,” to the romantic themes in Act II, “Love and Marriage,” to the devastating themes in Act III, “Death and Eternity.” In addition to the families, the stage manager plays an essential role by addressing the audience, bringing in guest lecturers, and fielding questions from the audience.
