The Penn Hills Technology Department is committed to working collaboratively in maintaining a cutting-edge technological infrastructure that bolsters the teaching and business operations of the School District.   Additionally, this department is constantly looking for new advancements and opportunities to simplify district procedures and offer the highest support possible.

At Penn Hills, the Technology Services Team is committed to supporting all facets of modern learning by providing support for a vibrant digital environment.  Our department is made up of a highly-trained group of people committed to delivering effective technology and excellent services and support to the PHSD community. The Technology Department is committed to carefully planning and managing technology acquisition and deployment to support the curriculum as well as the needs of students, teachers, and administrators. All classrooms have access to the district's high-speed wide area network and online interactive resources, enabling instructors and students to extend their learning and communication opportunities outside the classroom. The district provides extensive training opportunities for all employees to improve their ability to apply technology to work tasks.

Families who qualify for public assistance programs such as the National School Lunch Program, Housing Assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI and others may qualify for low cost internet through Verizon or Comcast.

PHorge Robotics Students Earn First Industry Certification in Mechanical Foundations

Twenty-five Penn Hills students from the PHorge Robotics Academy and Senior High Robotics Program have earned their first industry certification in Mechanical Foundations, endorsed by the ARM Institute. This milestone highlights the district’s commitment to providing real-world, industry-aligned pathways that prepare students for college, careers, and the trades.
